SOUTHERN RIVER HOCKEY CLUB INC

 2018 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

WEDNESDAY 30 JANUARY 2019  7.00PM

 LES SANDS PAVILION

Notice is hereby given that the next Annual General Meeting of the Southern River Hockey Club Inc will be held on Wednesday 30 January 2019, 7.00pm, at the Les Sands Pavilion, Gay Street, Huntingdale.

In accordance with the current constitution, all financial members may attend the Annual General Meeting.

All nominations must be signed and received on the nomination form provided and emailed to secretary@southernriverhockey.asn.au  by midnight Tuesday 29 January 2019.

New: Summer Hockey at SRHC!

Lots of fun for all ages with competitions to suit everyone on our brand new turf!

When:

 – Pre Christmas Summer hockey: Monday 8th Oct 2018 –> Friday 14th Dec 2018 (10 rounds)

– Post Christmas Summer hockey: Monday 7th Jan 2019 –> Friday 1st Mar 2019 (8 rounds)

Hawkin2H: Friday

Juniors: Thursday (and Friday)                                            

Mixed Seniors: Wednesday (and Tuesday )                                

Masters: Monday (and Tuesday)

2018 CLUB OPEN DAY


Come and brush off the cobwebs at our first family function of the 2018 season. The Annual Club Open Day will be happening on Sunday 8th April commencing at 11.30am.
First call of the day will see the Promo One men and women squads dazzling the juniors with their sublime skills during some morning coaching clinics. The juniors will then get to display these newly acquired skills in a scratch match or two.
After this you will be able to witness our Luscious Lady Hawks racing up and down the field like the elegant gazelles that they are. Final match of the day will then see the Marquee Masters Men massacre the Mighty Metro Men, or so they say.
The day will culminate in a delicious spit roast dinner lovingly prepared by some of our club members. If this is all a bit too much excitement for you then the bar will be open from midday so you can have a drink or two to settle the nerves and dull the senses. The kitchen will also be open for light snacks during the afternoon.
We hope to see you all there on the day!!!

WANTED: FEMALE AND MALE GOAL KEEPERS

Do you enjoy having balls travelling at your head faster than the speed of light?

Do you thrive on your team-mates leaping all over you after you’ve made that final, soul destroying, season ending save?

If you answered yes, then we want you!

The Southern River Hockey Club is looking for goalkeepers to join our club in 2018. We currently have vacancies in our Provisional 2 and Metro 2 women as well as our Metro 1 and Metro 3 men’s teams.

We are looking for people who:
• Are motivated about hockey
• Understand that tuna is to be consumed outside
• Are passionate about sport
• Know that the only beer worth drinking is Corona
• Are fun to be round and have on the team
• Are willing to add to the club tattoo gallery (optional)
• Know that we are a family and not just a hockey club
• Understand it’s Chicken PARMI not Chicken PARMA

If you can tick off most of above then you are what we are looking for and we would love to hear from you.
